Reading With The Heart

Martha is a prolific reader with eclectic taste. An avid book buyer, she probably owns more books than she can ever read. Yet she keeps buying them. And buying them. And buying them. She’s quite proud of her literary citizenship!

Books are mirrors: you only see in them what you already have inside you.
— Carlos Ruiz Zafón, THE SHADOW OF THE WIND

Martha occasionally finds the time to reread her favorite books. Two of them come to mind—Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird and Gary Schmidt’s Okay for Now. She brings different experiences to each reading and therefore reads a different book each time.
